On Saturday, June 18th, Coalition members held an informational booth during the Juneteenth celebration at Cominsky Park in Dubuque, Iowa.
Juneteenth is a federally recognized holiday to honor the long-awaited freedom of enslaved African Americans on June 19th, 1866. The Coalitions presence is a reminder that freedom has still not reached everyone.
Green State Credit Union was the major sponsor of the event and they provided a meal for attendees.
