On May 7th, Coalition members set up an information booth at the Dubuque Farmers Market to raise awareness of human trafficking in Iowa. The Farmers Market in Dubuque, Iowa, is a reoccurring event that takes place every Saturday from 9am-12pm from the months of May through October. It’s a Dubuque tradition since 1865. On Saturday, June 18th, Coalition members held an informational booth during the Juneteenth celebration at Cominsky Park in Dubuque, Iowa. Juneteenth is a federally recognized holiday to honor the long-awaited freedom of enslaved African Americans on June 19th, 1866. Check out the Coalition’s newest venture to engage Iowa businesses in their efforts to raise awareness of human trafficking in Dubuque and Dubuque County.

The University of Dubuque student organization Spartan Nation Liberation Foundation (SNLF) held their annual 5K Run the Runway Against Human Trafficking last April 9th, where the Tri-State Coalition Against Human Trafficking hosted a booth.
