The Coalition will sponsor a billboard to raise awareness of human trafficking. It will be on Highway 20 going west near Dyersville, IA, and will be up from August 2022 to August 2023.
This location and time frame was chosen due to the expected increase in visitors to the area. The month of August will bring thousands of people to the Field of Dreams for the Major League baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds. Large sporting events draw traffickers and increase human trafficking in that area.
By placing the billboard here, the Coalition aims to send a message that persons who engage in human trafficking are unwelcome visitors and that no person is ever for sale.
